Amoxicillin
is manufactured in the following forms in both 250mg and 500mg

Before
you take your amoxicillin you should:
-
let your doctor and pharmacist know if you are allergic to penicillin,
amoxicillin, cephalosporins, or any other similar medications.
- let your doctor and pharmacist know what prescription and nonprescription
medicine as well as any nutritional supplements, vitamins and herbal
products you might be taking. Be certain to mention any of the following:
chloramphenicol (Chlormycetin), any other antibiotics, and probenecid
(Benemid). Your physician may need to alter your amoxicillin dosage
or monitor you for any side effects.
- let your doctor know if you have currently or if you have ever
had a kidney diseases, phenylketonuria, allergies, hay fever, asthma,
or hives.
- let your doctor know if you are currently pregnant, if you are
planning on becoming pregnant, or if you are breast-feeding. If
you should become pregnant while taking the antibiotic amoxicillin
you should also let you doctor know.
Unless
your doctor tells you otherwise, continue with your normal diet
and exercise.
If
you forget to take a dose of amoxicillin, take the missed dose when
you remember it. You should skip the missed dose and continue your
regular dosing schedule if it is already time for you to take the
next dose. You should not take a double dose of Amoxicillin to make
up for a missed dose.
