Phenergan (Promethazine)

Talk to your healthcare provider if you are taking other medicines, especially any of the following:

• Activated carbon, or lithium because they may reduce the effectiveness of Phenergan
• Angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) (eg, enalapril) inhibitors, astemizole, cisapride, general anesthetics (eg, thiopental), methyldopa, terfenadine, or tramadol side effects like low blood pressure and seizures may become
• ACE inhibitors (eg, enalapril), haloperidol, lithium, meperidine, metrizamide, monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitors (eg phenelzine), naltrexone, polypeptide (eg, actinomycin), antibiotics, or trazodone because the risk of these side effects may be increased by Phenergan
• Bromocriptine, Cpinefrin, levodopa, or pergolide because their effectiveness may be reduced Phenergan

• You are allergic to Phenergan Component
• You have severe central nervous system depression or comatose
• You also have to astemizole, cisapride, terfenadine, or tramadol use

• If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or breastfeeding
• If you have any prescription or nonprescription medicine, herbal or dietary supplement you are taking
• If you have medicine, food, or are allergic to other substances
• If you have neurological problems, bone marrow depression, heart problems, blood disease, glaucoma, increased eye pressure, low blood pressure, liver problems, prostate problems, Parkinson's disease, seizures, or Reye syndrome
• If you regularly consume large amounts of alcohol
