RETROVIR
It is used with other medicines that can help women during pregnancy to prevent passing HIV infection to the fetus. RETROVIR HIV infection when used in combination with other drugs used.
Before using RETROVIR:
Some medical conditions may interact with RETROVIR. Talk to your healthcare provider if you are taking other medicines, especially any of the following:
- Severe pancreas problems may occur because of zalcitabine
- Fluconazole, ganciclovir, interferon alfa, probenecid, valproic acid, or any drug Zidovudine is that they "may increase the risk of side effects RETROVIR
- Doxorubicin, ribavirin, or stavudine because they "may reduce the effectiveness of RETROVIR
- You are allergic to a component RETROVIR
- You're an enlarged liver, high blood lactic acid levels, or liver function test
- You doxorubicin, ribavirin, stavudine, or are taking any medications containing Zidovudine
- If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or breastfeeding
- If you have any prescription or nonprescription medicine, herbal or dietary supplement you are taking
- If you have medicine, food, or are allergic to other substances
- If you have bone marrow problems, low white blood cell levels, kidney problems, hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection or other liver problems
- If you are overweight
RETROVIR May interact with some drugs. Check with your health care provider before you start, stop or change the dose of medication. Ask your health care provider that you are taking RETROVIR may interact with other medicines.
It blocks the HIV virus from multiplying. RETROVIR is an antiviral.
If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take the medicine at the next regularly scheduled time. Missed dose Do not take a double dose. Missed dose as soon as you remember.
